problems. Limitations for this program are polar inputs only, at present.
Cheby 1.1b
Soln Laboratories, Inc.
$?
helps in designing lowpass, highpass and bandpass filters based on Chebyscheff
polynomials. Use CHEBY87.COM for machines having an 8087 numeric co-processor
installed, and CHEBYBCD.COM on machines without an 8087.
CheCon 1.0
Sund, S.E.
$8
performs 30 different unit conversions in the Chemical engineering field. It
may also be of interest to other engineering fields.
Circuits
$0
is an introductory tutorial on electronics, primarily Ohms Law. (Requires
BASICA from IBM or Compaq. May not work with GWBASIC.)
Electronic Helper 1.0 (ELECHLP)
Tremblay, Eric
$0
is an Ohms law calculator that will also tell you the value of a resistor using
the color codes on the resistor.
EngUnit
Sandell, Dave J.
$0
will convert almost any set of engineering units to just about any other set.
HepCat Junior 0.7
Swayne, Patrick
$39
is a 12k memory resident pop-up calculator. HepCat stands for "HUG Engineer's
and Programmer's CAlculation Tool". It is an engineer's floating point
calculator with several built in functions and a programmer's binary
calculator that works in several radixes and has a built in ASCII table. It
can also be used as a simple four-function calculator.
ResisPop 1.03 (RESPOP)
Notor Engineering Services
$0
is a simple resistor selection program that allows you to convert arbitrary
resistance values between 1.0 ohm and 10 Mohm to standard values for 0.1, 0.2,
0.5, 1, 2, 5, and 10 percent tolerances.
SCI_Calc
Joyner, Bill
$4
is an unusual type of scientific calculator. Over a dozen different algebraic
and trinometric functions of X and Y are displayed on the screen (eg: X*Y, X
cos Y). As you enter values for X and Y, the results of the functions are
automatically displayed. Any of the values can be moved into memory and from
there into X or Y. Warning: the error message file did not come with it, so if
you have an error, you will only be told that the file is missing.

Analysis 4.0 (ANALYSI)
Wallenstein, Gene V.
$25
is a time series analysis tool which includes a wide diversity of
transformations and other techniques to locate and quantify patterns in
a data set. Methods used are the Fourier and Wavelet analysis, auto- and
cross-correlation, coherence, moments and Wigner-Ville analysis, digital
filtering of data and plot data in 2 or 3D.
Headerx
Winstead, Samuel
$0
provides the process engineer a quick and accurate way to evaluate flare
header sizes.
Scieqs 1.0
Yee, George
$6
is a sophisticated scientific calculator using algebraic notation. Built-in
functions include trigonometric, hyperbolic, exponential, logarithmic, and
roots. User-defined functions with any number of arguments are allowed. It
does numerical solution of equations.
Spur Gear Genie (GENIE)
Miller, Leonard R.
$19
provides precise calculations for gear-cutting operators.
StrTrs
Arnett, William S.
$20
analyzes simple beams and cantilever beams;designs short retaining walls,
footings; and selects steel beams for preliminary design purposes. Basic
required.
Trav 1.06
Jones, Robert
$50
performs geometric traverse calculations. This program uses principles of plane
surveying and does not incorporate geodetic corrections.

A-Filter (AFILTER)
Fitzpatrick, Bill
$35
calculates the resistor and capacitor values for various op-amp based active
filter configurations.
Electrical and Electronic Formulas 3.06 (EEF)
Miller, Greg
$20
is a collection of basic electrical and electronic formulas for
engineers. Requires DOS 3.0 or later.
Fluid Flow Calculations 1.0 (FLUID)
DeBlanc, Frank M.
$15
is used to solve fluid flow problems such as head loss, fluid flow, pipe
diameter and hydraulic radius.
Nominal Pipe Size e1.2 (NPS)
Herne Data Systems Ltd. ASP
$32
displays dimensional, flow and weight data for most standard types of metallic,
plastic and composite pipes and tubes including IPS, SDR, SIDR and metric sizes.
PC-Reson 1.0 (PCRESON)
Priller, John A. and Vincent, John
$0
is an enhanced AC circuit analysis program. It solves for voltages and currents,
and computes circulating and dissipated energy. It allows for material
properties and geometry.

BTU Analysis
Enchanted Tree Software
$105
#2437
helps compute the size of heating and cooling units needed for either commercial
or residential applications. All you have to do is enter the requested
parameters. The program will translate the cooling into Tons as well as BTU's
and will give the cfm necessary for proper cooling or heating of the area
analyzed. The manual J is used for data input factors and for calculation
methods. This program will also allow analysis of an area that does not have an
outside wall.
Carpenter's Dream
Workhorses, Inc
$25
#3915
is a set of construction programs for estimating concrete, gallons, tandem
loads, decks, squares, sheets, roofs, half lap, rebar, 16" on centers; for
producing cutting lists for rafters, stairs, and windows; for doing conversions
of units of measure and more.
CCICAP
Circuit Concepts Inc.
$75
#2048
is a powerful, easy to use linear circuit analysis program. The program can
be used to study a wide range of circuit behavior. It includes passive
circuit elements such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors as well as
controlled elements such as voltage to current converters and ideal
operational amplifiers. There are built in models for bipolar junction
transistors, field effect transistors, and operational amplifiers.
